Mgr. Libor Petr, PhD.

 

 

He is a researcher at the Department of Botany and Zoology of the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk university in Brno. He graduated in the field of biology and botany at the Faculty of Science of the Charles University in Prague. In 2013 he defended dissertation work titled: “High environmental gradients during the Late Glacial in Central Europe”. In between 2006 and 2014 he was also partly employed at the Department of Archaeology of the Philosophical faculty of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. He is focused on pollen analysis and reconstruction of vegetation and environment in the past under climate changes and human impact. He collaborates regularly with archaeologist in various issues linking palynology and archaeology.

 

He is an external collaborate of the ERCA Centre in the field of palynology and paleoecology.
