ERCA

Excellent Research Centre of Archaeometry (ERCA) is a department of the Archaeological Centre in Olomouc /(ACO). It is focused on archaeometry and natural scientific analyses in archaeology. ERCA is an example of unique cooperation of scientists from the fields of archaeology and natural sciences. Apart from a cooperation on scientific projects, we offer also commercial analyses for other archaeological institutions or independent scholars.

ERCA analyses

We offer specific analyses from the fields of zooarchaeology (osteology, seasonality, stable isotopes) geoarchaeology (petrography, geochemistry, micromorphology, XRF), archaeobotany (macroremains, palynology, anthracology, phytoliths) and bioarchaeology (physical anthropology, archaeogenetics).
